I found the idea of translation within the same language particularly interesting. It contradicts authors such as Gideon Toury, who states that translation does require two different languages and cultural traditions. However, each of us will have a different interpretation of a poem, based not only on our personal experiences, but also on the context in which it is read. Hence, we can say poetry has a very organic nature, just like translation. Each poem and each translation bring us new perspectivess, new ideas to confront our own and create new ones. As Mouré says, “Each time they [the poems] move they refresh themselves.”
